Assistive Technology Radio, which produces a weekly radio show and podcast series on assistive technology, interviewed RESNA's President-Elect, Alex Mihailidis for the March 30, 2012 edition of Assistive Technology Update. Mihailidis discusses what the organization does, the upcoming 2012 conference, and RESNA's certification programs. Mihailidis also talks about his goals as RESNA President, when his term begins in August 2012. 

Alex Mihailidis, PhD, P Eng, is the Barbara G. Stymiest Research Chair in Rehabilitation Technology at the University of Toronto and Toronto Rehab Institute. At the University of Toronto, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy and in the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, with a cross appointment in the Department of Computer Science. He has been conducting research in the field of pervasive computing and intelligent systems in health for the past 13 years, having published over 100 journal papers, conference papers, and abstracts in the field. He has been a RESNA member since 2001. 

Assistive Technology Update is a fast-paced, 30-minute weekly program for assistive technology users, professionals, and enthusiasts. It features news, questions & answers, and interviews with thought leaders in the field of assistive technology. Besides the Mihailidis interview, this week's show also includes segments on "Running Windows on your iPad," "Are you happy with Siri," "Appwriter," "BrightStar," "Vision Assist," and "Cause and Effect Apps."  Wade Wingler, ATP and Director of INDATA, the Indiana Assistive Technology Act program, is the producer and host.
