A RESNA Position Paper is an official statement by this professional organization. It uses evidence and expert advice to summarize best practices for Assistive Technology (AT) devices, evaluation, and service delivery.

Position Papers provide a rationale for decision-making and professional skills for practitioners; and explain the medical or functional necessity of AT devices and services for policy makers and funding sources.  According to the policy, Position Papers must be revised every 5 years. Once revised, they are posted for comment by members.

If you wish to comment on this position paper, according to policy, you must provide your name, affiliation, and email along with your comment.  Only those comments with complete information will be considered in the revision of the draft, after which it will be submitted to the Board for approval.
