RESNA 2012 Conference to include "State of the Science" on Wheeled Mobility

The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Wheeled Mobility (mRERC) will conduct its State of the Science Conference (SOSC) in conjunction with RESNA 2012 in Baltimore, MD. The event will take place over two days, July 1 and July 2, as part of the general conference session. 

mRERC is also sponsoring the July 1 plenary session speakers: Rita S. Hostak, Vice President, Government Relations, Sunrise Medical and Doran Edwards, MD, Advanced Healthcare Consulting, LLC. The plenary session topic is how science influences public policy in seating and mobility.

In addition to the plenary, three workshop sessions will be part of the SOSC and open to general conference attendees:

 

  • Delivering wheeled mobility and seating services
  • Individualizing pressure ulcer risk and prevention strategies
  • Mobility trajectories and transitions between walking and wheeling
