RESNA announces new webinars and courses for late summer/fall

RESNA’s continuing education offerings are expanding with the addition of nine new webinars, additional dates for the Fundamentals course (including one with a focus on special education), and a new Advanced Seating & Mobility course.

Webinars

All webinar topics are offered as a three-part series, to provide greater depth and support for those that are interested. Individuals may take all three, or only the ones that are of interest to them. Webinars are offered from 3pm to 4pm ET. Registration is $28 for RESNA members and $40 for non-members. RESNA is authorized by IACET to offer 0.1 CEUs for each webinar.  

Power Wheelchair Access Methods: August 26, September 16, and October 14

Fundamentals in Assistive Technology course dates

This popular, in-person, two-day course examines numerous areas of AT, and is designed to broaden the view of the AT provider.  Perfect for new staff and those just entering the field, or those who are branching out into other areas of the industry, the course is taught by experienced and certified RESNA members. RESNA is authorized by IACET to provide 1.4 CEUs for this course. RESNA members receive a discount.

New Course: Advanced Seating & Mobility Workshop

October 24 – 25, 2013 in Atlanta, GA

This new, in-person, two-day course will systematically address common positioning issues of the pelvis, trunk, lower extremities, upper extremities, and the head. This course will be taught by RESNA instructor Michelle L. Lange, OTR, ABDA, ATP, who is an occupational therapist and Clinical Director at the Assistive Technology Clinics of the Children’s Hospital of Denver. Click here for more information.
