Several Standards Committees will meet in Toronto at RESNA 2019 during RehabWeek

Several standards committees are planning to meet in Toronto in conjunction with RehabWeek the last week in June.  The following committees are planning face to face meetings along with accommodation for virtual participation:

Participants from diverse interest categories are encouraged to participate. Meetings are open to anyone; voting on documents requires membership. If interested in joining or observing, please contact the individual committee leadership at the links provided above or at https://www.resna.org/at-standards. The following committees are currently seeking participation from the following interest categories as noted below:

COWHAT: Consumers, Advocates, Caregivers, Clinician/Prescriber, Policy Experts, Payers, Educators, Transit Providers

CA: Product Research & Development, Government, Test Labs, Testing Assessment & Clinical Experts

WRS: Consumer, advocate, or caregiver, Rehabilitation researcher, Clinician/prescriber, Policy expert, payer, or educator, and Independent product research and development

ESTD: Consumers, Testing Organizations & Facilities, Building Owners and Managers, and Insurance

WCS: Consumer, Clinician, Manufacturer-Supplier, Manufacturer-Component, and Government

Many of the RESNA Standards Committees work to harmonize their standards with counterparts in the international arena through the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).  Recently, Ms. Kara Kopplin, Chair of the Wheelchair and Related Seating Committee, was appointed as the ISO/TC 173/SC1 representative to the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
